There are unwritten rules in sports. In football you don?t go for the knees, in baseball don?t bunt on a no-no, and in basketball you don?t foul down by ten with seven seconds to go. In fantasy sports, there are unwritten rules too.
I?ve gone on and on before about rules/commandments in fantasy before. Now, it?s time to talk about being a good manager. People, can we please start having honest forthright trading? In my league, I?m the commissioner and I make the rules. Put simply, I am the law. I hate hate hate crappy trades and those who bombard people:
-I?ll give you Cadillac Williams and Kerry Collins for Chris Johnson, Tom Brady, and the Bears defense.
??No, dude.
-I?ll throw in the Broncos D, ok?
??Please, just stop it?
-What if I give you Michael Vick, Tatum Bell, and my kicker for just Aaron Rodgers and Michael Turner and Fred Jackson plus your tightend Jason Witten?
??Good lord?does Bell still play?
-I don?t think so.
As ?The Comish? I?ve vowed to step in against this display. Believe me, this stuff happens constantly. Everyone you know who plays fantasy sports has seen something like this. The guy who drafted a kicker in the fourth round (had a guy do it) wants your first three round picks. Sorry you draft like the Raiders guy, leave me alone. It?s time to stand up. Tell your commissioner what?s going on! Make him or her aware AND make them do something about it. As commissioner I review all the trades. Yet, I can?t review cancelations and offers. But now, I?ve put out a release letting my league know it?s time:
League,
As you know I control and oversee everything. There is a disturbance in the transaction wire. Multiple trade rejections means trades that are being offered are unfair or unwanted. Investigations have begun. For all those submitting trades make sure they are well-rounded or I will be forced to take action. My penalties show no boundaries.
Ted
The Comish
Haha, I can go overboard sometimes.
