ANTIOCH -- Youngsters looking to take a swing at playing fast-pitch softball are invited to a clinic next month to teach the facets of the game.
The Antioch Sports Legends Alumni are filling out their lineup card of the city's softball greats and college and high school coaches for the second annual event.
The event will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 17, at the Antioch Babe Ruth Complex, 902 Auto Center Drive. Registration is $30.
The clinic, designed for players ages 8 to 18, includes instruction in hitting, fielding and defensive skills. The event includes a barbecue hot dog lunch, clinic, T-shirt and tour of the Sports Legends museum located next door.
