DreamQuest Software Announces Details for 2nd Annual Wireless Card Game Tournament

(PRWEB) October 8, 2003

DreamQuest Software is today announcing details for its 2nd Annual Wireless Card Game Tournament.

?After the success of last year?s first-ever wireless card game tournament, we decided to take it to the next level and have the first wireless tournament out on the open sea,? said Christopher Williamson, President and CEO of DreamQuest. ?We are sponsoring a Card Sharks of the Caribbean Cruise on the Norwegian Cruise Line, Feb 1-8, 2004. You can?t get more wireless than being out in the middle of the ocean.?

The event will be held on the Norwegian Sun, leaving from Miami and visiting great ports like Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Entrants in the card game tournament portion of the cruise will compete via cell phones, laptops or PDAs using the ship?s wireless Internet access to compete in the DreamQuest online gaming lobby. Competitors will challenge each other for prizes. The Grand Prize includes a Nokia 3650 cell phone with the entire line of DreamQuest?s Championship Card Games.

?We have just released our games for the Nokia?s Series 60, so this is an opportunity to show how great all our games look on this new line of cell phones,? said Williamson.

Participants will choose to play either DreamQuest Software?s award-winning Championship Spades or Championship Hearts, two of the first truly cross-platform wireless card games in the industry. These games are both currently nominated for Pocket PC Magazine?s Best Card Game of 2003 (Championship Hearts also holds the honor of winning in this category for 2002). Both games are highly regarded for the strength of their design, the challenge of their game-play, and the fact that these games can be played from a multitude of platforms.

Additional aspects of the cruise include hosted events by both Christopher Williamson and Joe Andrews. Andrews, renowned card game expert and best selling author, will be hosting qualifying tournaments for the 2004 GrandPrix National Championships.

?Joe will also be on hand to offer tips and advice for fun and exciting play,? Williamson said. ?This cruise is set up for the enjoyment of all levels of card players. Whether you?re looking for a friendly game or a highly competitive tournament, you?ll enjoy the festivities aboard the Norwegian Sun and the chance to meet with Joe.?
