Let?s get this straight. If you generate more leads for your network marketing business, you?ll make more money. But let?s get to the real problem. Lots of MLM entrepreneurs absolutely have no idea on how to generate their own leads. They join a business opportunity. The products seem great. The company owners and uplines all seem friendly and helpful. But the affiliates and distributors don?t know how to get leads. So they fail. It?s that simple.
Just how do you generate these highly targeted and interested leads for your business? I suggest that you gather them online and offline. There are many ways you can do this, and this article is simply not enough to outline all the methods! But to give you a basic headstart, let?s outline some of the fundamental ways to generate leads:
1. Pay per click advertising. This type of advertising is very different from magazine and newspaper advertising because it?s more targeted and you can optimize your ads to appear for certain keywords that are related to your business. Basically, you only pay for every ad click that you get from genuine web surfers. You also control the advertising budget on this one. The most popular PPC platforms are Google AdWords and Yahoo Search Marketing. Before you try any of these services, I suggest that first, you develop your own website with an attractive offer. Second, study the nuts and bolts of PPC advertising to avoid spending more advertising money that you actually should.
2. Article Marketing. If you?re looking for a free method of getting high quality leads, then you should try article marketing. This will work most for people who have good writing abilities and have an expertise in the MLM field. All you have to do is to share your expertise, target an audience, write short articles, and then submit it to the top article directories and submission sites. These articles will then be picked up by ezine publishers and bloggers all over the world, which is an added promotion for you and your business website (because at the bottom of each article, you have a ?resource box? that speaks about your credentials in the networking field, plus one or two links to your business websites). With article marketing, the possibilities of finding potential customers and business partners are endless.
3. Video and Podcast Distribution. If you?re more comfortable with speaking and appearing in front of a screen, just sharing your thoughts, then video/podcast distribution is the thing for you. All you have to do is produce content that you think will be helpful to your target market, record you thoughts on a videocam (it would help to put on some powder and look good). Once you?re done, blast this video to popular video sites like Youtube, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Revver, Tubemogul, and many others. Make sure your message is helpful and not filled with blatant advertising. Also, don?t forget to include the link of your business website on the description section of the video.
Podcasting, meanwhile, is simply the fancy term for audio. A podcast is an ?audio blog? that is updated regularly and sent to a group of subscribers. All you have to do is record an audio message that gives out free tips to the network marketing community and then submit this audio to podcasting services. There are hundreds of free podcasting services out there. Or you can even use a free blog at Blogger.com. Aside from hosting text based blogs, Blogger also supports podcast feeds. As time goes by, loyal listeners of your podcast might just turn into loyal customers and partners of your MLM business.
It?s not all hard as it seems. Just do it.
