Dr. Veronica Anderson, Founder and Host of web radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, a weekly resource for wellness of mind, body and spirit, features expert insight on her talk show regarding how we should respond to doctors that are downright rude in the patient room.
NEW YORK, NY ? July 27, 2011 ? Dr. Veronica Anderson, Founder and Host of health and wellness web radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, recently published an article on her website www.drveronica.com, that blatantly calls out doctors with attitudes and superiority complexes. The article, titled ?SmartASSHole Doctors? suggests that it?s not worth the emotional stress to put up with your doctor?s mistreatment of you, the patient, and other medical professionals that work in the same environment.
Dr. Anderson writes, ?Doctors are some of the smartest people that I know. I?m not just boasting because I?m a doctor; I really have a significant amount of respect for those trained in the medical industry. But, honestly ? some doctors can be downright dumb! That is, when it comes to social interaction and effective communication, some doctors have placed little to no importance on hearing alternative opinions from their nurse colleagues, or talking kindly with patients that are emotionally distressed. I have met many smart doctors like this, who are just not pleasant. These doctors are simply smart assholes and we should stop allowing this type of behavior.?
?The bottom line is that while the medical schools take action to weed out socially challenged doctors, consumers and patients can also voice their opinion by choosing to boycott mean doctors. Patients/Clients should always pick a nice person who has good energy and vibes. If you are currently seeing a doctor with poor manners, you should walk out of the office. Would you allow any other professional to treat you like shit??No! So don?t let a doctor do it,? urges Dr. Anderson.
Wellness for the Real World features information on developing a healthy and fit mind, body and spirit in today?s dynamic society. Dr. Anderson adds her easily understandable, fun-infused voice to the broad-audience discussion on today?s most popular medicines, alternative treatments, health policies and opinions of wellness ? so that her listeners can benefit from truly vigorous life in the real world today.
